Next-gen Eee Top to get battery, wireless inputThe next version of the previously-announced ASUS Eee Top desktop PC will sport battery-powered portability and have wireless accessories, says a Friday report. Not only will the second-gen Eee Top have a wireless keyboard and mouse, it will also sport an internal battery, enabling its use as a portable media center around the house or beyond its walls.

The first-generation Eee Top, due to ship on November 20th, will be priced at about £400 (about $640 using current exchange rates), with ASUS expecting it to be the company's flagship product in 2009. This system is expected to include a 15.6-inch touchscreen display along with 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and Windows XP Home. A built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi module is on the cards as well, along with Denon-branded speakers and a 1.3-megapixel webcam.
