AT&T today added a second full touchscreen phone in as many weeks through the LG Incite. Unlike the earlier Samsung Eternity, the Incite is a full Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone and comes with an LG-customized front end that both encourages more use of finger input over a stylus and takes advantage of an accelerometer to provide a landscape keyboard when tilting the phone on its side.
The Incite has most of the features now increasingly common on smartphones with tri-band 3G over HSPA, GPS and Wi-Fi. It likewise carries a three-megapixel camera and uses microSDHC cards for storage up to the current 16GB maximum. AT&T-specific touches include both support for the company's TeleNav-run Navigator mapping service as well as mobile downloads from eMusic and Internet radio from XM.
Examples should already be in stores now and are selling at an iPhone-level $200 when bought with a two-year plan. Contract-free pricing is set at $500.
