Lorex introduces Easy Connect Network IP Camera

Lorex introduces Easy Connect Network IP CameraLorex Technology has introduced the LNE3003, a network IP surveillance camera that can be accessed from any Internet connection, including 3G mobile devices such as the iPhone or iPod touch. The camera transmits a 640 by 480 (VGA) resolution feed at 30 frames per second, compressed to MPEG4 format for viewing the stream from mobile devices. The camera can be plugged directly into a router, or connect via 802.11b/g WiFi, with wireless range claimed to extend 250 feet in open space.

The system can be configured to send am e-mail notification when motion is detected, including a JPEG attachment of the event. Six infrared LEDs surround the lens, allowing the camera to still view up to 17 feet in low-light conditions. The package includes a mount bracket, Ethernet cable, and software CD.

The software on the camera end works on Windows systems, but the feed can be viewed from Macs. The LNE3003 is available now, with pricing available from the company.
