Posimotion intros battery-operated G-Fi VS

Posimotion intros battery-operated G-Fi VSPosimotion has introduced what it claims is the "world's first" mobile Wi-Fi network hub designed for gamers. About the size of a wallet, the G-Fi VS supports ad-hoc 802.11b/g connectivity between devices within a 100-foot range. The device allows gamers, including iPhone and iPod Touch users, to set up impromptu networks for multiplayer games or to share files and digital media.

An internal lithium-ion battery provides approximately 6 hours of operating time, or 7 hours of standby. The device weighs just 2.5 ounces, and can be used in several iPhone games including Texas Hold 'Em, Scrabble, Raging Thunder and others. Up to 200 users are supported. Besides gaming, Posimotion notes that the device allows business users to quickly set up networks at conferences or staff events to trade files and information.

The G-Fi VS will be available next month for $150 and ships with a USB charger.
