LG Prada II specs leak hints US plans

LG Prada II specs leak hints US plansLG's rumored Prada II touchscreen phone is likely headed to the US, according to a detailed leak from BGR. Where the original Prada was limited to European and some Asian territories, the sequel is now set to allegedly include both 850MHz GSM calling as well as 3G data over the same frequency using HSDPA, greenlighting the device for full use in the US with AT&T as well as Canada for Rogers.

The internal components would also confirm and expand upon a very early leak, with a five-megapixel camera part of the design as well as Wi-Fi and an FM tuner. New information points to an accelerometer built in to recognize movement and likely to tilt the onscreen output based on the rotation of the phone in question.

No extra information has appeared regarding the new Prada's release date, although LG introduced the first Prada in early 2007 with a quick turnaround for its spring launch. The company hasn't historically announced high-profile phones late in the year.
