BlackJack II gets new colors, i760 WM 6.1 upgrade

BlackJack II gets new colors, i760 WM 6.1 upgradeSamsung announced on Monday changes to two of its smartphones, the BlackJack II for AT&T and SCH-i760 for Verizon. The former is now available in blue and pink while its price with new contracts has dropped. The i760 in the meantime gets a software update that includes Windows Mobile 6.1. The new OS brings with it threaded SMS, Domain Enrollment for office servers and an updated Vista 32-bit look that includes a more advanced home screen.

The software update for the i760 takes about 10 minutes to download and install, and includes several software fixes and enhancements on top of the Windows Mobile refresh.

The new color schemes for the BlackJack II feature white keyboards and decorative designs on the back side of the phones. Pricing for the BlackJack II also falls from nearly $200 with a two-year contract with AT&T to $100 on the same term with a mail-in rebate. Buying the phone outright still costs $350.
